Pricing and Practicalities

Pricing

My standard rates for 2026 remain £150 per hour. I offer a reduced rate for full or multiple days’ work. I do not charge for travel time within the southeast. I charge travel expenses as and when incurred.

Third Party Funding

As at January 2026 third party funding of coaching and/or consultancy services with me are likely to be available where the recipient meets one or more of the following criteria:

Is a ‘Justice First Fellow’; or

Is an employee of an organisation within the London Legal Support Trust ‘Centre of Excellence’ programme (member of the Legal Advice Sustainability Scheme); or

Is a Chief Executive Officer or other senior leader of a London Citizens Advice Bureau (current funding to end March 2026 only).

Other support may well be accessible for those working in the charitable or not for profit sectors more generally. Please do contact me if you are interested in accessing coaching and wish to explore these or other funding options further.

Discounted Services

I am committed to offering discounts on my services to small not for profit organisations and individuals of limited means where third party funding is not available, including by offering up to two pro-bono contracts at any one time.

Approach

At the outset of a contract the client/s and I will co-design a process to ensure our engagement with the things they want to think about to a timescale that feels both workable and meaningful. We will set objectives for our work together, and agree how we will hold ourselves accountable for making true progress whilst ensuring a thinking space that enables both depth and creativity.

I offer coaching sessions by Zoom as well as face to face and, where practical, I can offer walking meetings in parks or other civic spaces. I am based in the Southeast and regularly work in London. Coaching sessions are commonly 60 or 90 minutes long and occur regularly (weekly/fortnightly/monthly) for an agreed period. Other consultancy and training sessions can be delivered in person or remotely, depending upon the client's requirements.

My practice is informed by eclectic reading across a range of subjects including leadership theory, neuroscience, politics, sociology, philosophy, and psychology. I am fascinated by how people make sense of their world and their place in it, and by the theory and practice of change-making.

Recently read books influencing my current thinking include:

· Why we are polarised (Ezra Klein)

· The Quest for a Moral Compass (Kenan Malik)

· The Myths we Live By (Mary Midgely)

· The Uncontrollability of the World (Harmut Rosa)

Timescales

I sometimes need to operate a waiting list. I will usually be able to contract to start work within three months of your initial enquiry. If you are looking for urgent or time sensitive support and I do not have capacity to work with you myself, I will do what I can to help you to find a suitable alternative coach.
